Anyone here likes this album of L.A. GUNS? For me it is, together with their first self titled one, the best! Some of the songs in DIAMOND REXX latest album "The Evil" remind me of some songs in "American Hardcore"...

The one with the tattoo design on the front is "Vicious Circle", that's excellent! Rally broad range of styles and sounds. I love that one.
"American Hardcore" is the one with a grafitti style logo on a wall. It's HEAVY!! Bordering on mid-career Machine Head at times. The vocals were done by Chris (forget 2nd name). That line-up also produced the "Wasted" ep.
Not a fan of this era, even as a big fan of Traci Guns. Too much Rock and not enough Roll really.

Even though I love LA GUNS with PHIL LEWIS.
I found AMERICAN HARDCORE awesome.
Sure it wasn't LA GUNS.....it was more Traci's KILLING MACHINE style. Chris Van Dahl(Roxy Dahl)...who was the vocalist of CHERRY STREET...Did a great job on vocals...Pantera-ish sounding at some points. Critics hated AMERICAN HARDCORE and blasted the album in reviews.
But all the reviews I read were in pure glam sleaze magazine. Which I've found that most glam sleaze listeners are very close-minded in the heavy stuff.

American Hardcore is a great album. love the song kevorkian. they played a bar here on their american hardcore tour. the place was packed with left over 80s rockers and girls in spandex waiting to hear ballad of jayne. the look on their faces when LA Guns hit the stage playing nothing but new stuff, sans a awesome version of sex action, was worth the price of admission alone. by the end of the night there were maybe 10 people left in the place.

great stuff.

American Hardcore was a GREAT LAG album, IMO. I loved the heaviness of it. My only ill opinion is that I'm not much of a fan of Van Dahl's voice. Johnny Crypt should have been singing the leads! He had a much better voice!
